"I think the one-panel, non political cartoon is probably the most
challenging of all types of graphic humor. You've got to tell a whole
story instantaneously in the one brief look the reader gives your panel,
with few or no words, and I can tell you it is very difficult to stay
fresh and original."
"I mean, I get up at 5:45 A.M. every morning to get the panel on the web
by 9:00 A.M. (California time). So its only the creative deadline its
also the printing deadline. The only difference between working on the
WWW, or on a publications staff, is that I get to "toot my horn" about
other artistic skills."
